14th Annual Iowa Model A Days
Friday Afternoon, August 18th & Saturday, August 19th
In Amana, Iowa
We invite you to join us for two fun days of reliving the 1920s and 1930s. Registration and all activities are free. Friday afternoon starts with a driving tour, followed by a welcome reception with Amana hors d’oeuvres. Saturday’s highlights include a large display of drive-in Model A’s, a morning Ladies Tea, and a morning tech session. Our 2023 annual commemorative shirt order form is available on the following pages.
Friday afternoon will start by gathering at the Brau Haus Restaurant parking lot in Amana at 1:45pm for a driving tour, returning to the Brau Haus for a 5:00 PM Welcome Reception with hors d’oeuvres enabling a time to make and renew friendships with fellow Model A enthusiasts. If you were not able to join the afternoon tour, we encourage you to join in the fellowship of the Welcome Reception. After the Welcome Reception there will be plenty of time to enjoy an “Amana Meal” at one of the local restaurants.
Saturday, registration starts at 8:00 AM and closes at 10:30 AM. Entering Amana easy to follow and signage will make locating registration and courtesy photo easy to find. Display parking is only a stone’s throw from registration.
Saturday’s Ladies Tea starting at 10:30 AM at the Brau Haus will again feature a humorous topic presented by Doris Montag, last year’s enjoyable guest speaker. Doris has a wide array of topics to entertain her audiences.
The Saturday morning tech session starting at 11:00 AM will be held in the air-conditioned Carding Studio near the IMAD registration in the Mill Wright Hotel complex, last year’s location. The topic this year is “Old and New Accessories to Enhance Your Model A Driving Experience”. We will discuss era and modern accessories, possibly with a little humor about some that never quite lived up to their potential. But, as we drive our A’s today in modern traffic, there are some accessories that make driving easier and most certainly safer.
If you have questions about registration, shirt orders or questions in general about Iowa Model A Day’s, you can contact Jan Wenger (319) 329-7045.
